Horse Riding on Noordhoek Beach

This is something I have wanted to do for years. David made it happen!

He picked me up at 8am and we were soon on our way along a track to the beach…

Through the wetlands…

The path narrows and goes through some water…

And eventually, the path takes you to the Kommetjie side of Noordhoek beach…

It’s a massive expansive of pristine white sand…

The ride is along the wetland side where the sand is not too soft and easier on the horses.

It is spectacular.

David got left a bit behind – he was on the most docile horse…

But he soon caught up…

A memorable ride…

David’s horse in a moment of rebellion…

We got home safe and sound after two hours of riding. As the day wore on, I realised that a lot of seldom used muscles are put to work when you ride a horse. My knees ache, my back aches and sitting is not going to be the same for a couple of days!

But it was worth it. We had a wonderful time

#947 of my 1000 thanks  – horse riding with David.

Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heard, for they shall see God.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
