5-14pm
So here I am home again! We went to bed hopelessly early last night and as a result woke up at 2am. We went outside onto the deck and looked up into the amazing night sky. Very little light pollution in Betty’s Bay. The number of stars visible to the naked eye were amazing. Far more than we can see at home. We had a clear view of the Southern Cross…amidst the Milky Way…(thanks to wiki for this photo)
We went back to bed and woke up for coffee before Mike slept while I read. At about 10am, I scooted down to the shop for croissants…
I sat and watched dozens of surfers enjoy some pretty good surf. While watching, a pair of mongooses strolled by…I managed to get one of them in this shot…
Can you see the black dots in the surf…those are the surfers.
At 1pm, we got up, cleaned up & cleared out! The road from Betty’s Bay to Gordon’s Bay is very picturesque…
You can see the rain has cleared and the sun come out. On the way home, we dropped the keys with the owner’s daughter and were home around 4pm.
A wonderful weekend away and now time to gear up for the week ahead.
Deuteronomy 31:8 says:
“The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you”.
That’s what I need!
God bless you richly!
