Saturday
Today was the day…
Mike considered himself on holiday! He took today off and will do the same tomorrow. Monday to Wednesday is the final stretch of 2020 and then he will be fully off and enjoying holiday vibes. Today was a fabulous start for him. We walked to the shops right after 8am and got a few groceries. There we bumped into Peter and Riana who followed us home for breakfast and a chat. Mike needed to go and pick something up so while he was away, I sat on the balcony and just chilled.
The Cape Point Challenge was underway …these photos from their Facebook page.
Kenny Rice led for large sections and in the end, he was the winner as well.
While they were coming into Fish Hoek, Mike and I took a walk down to the beach and had a wonderful swim. The shark nets were not in place, so I couldn’t swim to the buoy (it’s actually a blue barrel), but I still had a lovely dip. We came home to shower and then this afternoon I went walking again. Home for an early dinner and this evening we will have another episode of The Crown.
