Highest T20 Scores

It was a pleasure to watch South Africa playing their opening T20 World Cup match against England today. The match is not over. England are looking formidable. South Africa didn’t look too bad. When we got to the end of the 5th over, it was great to see South Africa’s score looking like this:

72-0

That looks sweet! The 5th over was a cracker…

5th over

By the end of the 20 overs, the score was the 8th highest in the history of the game (at international level)….

We will not crow too loudly. England’s start has been determined! (21 after the first over). It looks like it’s going to be a match to remember! Let’s hope we can defend it. 😉

Meantime, back in the van Niekerk house, I have put in a full 40 hours of work thus far this week.  Sometimes I feel I want to pinch myself! How did I pick up such an amazing job – being able to work from home for a really friendly fabulous British based recruitment company?  I feel blessed and am so enjoying it.

A long weekend lies ahead and Julian is here for the weekend, so we are planning some touristy kind of things which should be fun.

In my journey through the Bible, I am up to Luke 3. Every day, I feel the power and wisdom of God’s Word in my life. It gives me guidance and reassurance and it lights the way. I see it over and over again. Words from today.

Luke 3

vs. 8. Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.

vs. 11 The man with two tunics should share with him who has none, and one who has food should do the same.

vs. 14. Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely – be content with your pay.

Practical words to live by.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
