He Ambushed the Rise and Shine Show…

3-22pm

And a lovely ambush it was too! Today, we were in full swing, Jonathan and I, on the Rise and Shine show, when completely unexpectedly at about 7-30am, who should bounce into the studio, but previous Thursday co-presenter & good friend, PJ! And on his arm, he had the lovely Nadine… literally the FIRST thing I did was to take a photo…

PJ and NadineDon’t they look good?!

So the show took an unexpected turn, (in a good way). You will remember PJ from my October 31st Blog when I secretly flew up to Jo’burg to surprise my brother on his birthday. PJ picked me up from the airport and I hung out at his place until the evening birthday dinner. I am so happy for he and Nadine and wish them God’s richest blessings in their relationship. They certainly look happy.

The rest of the day has gone as planned and regular readers will have got to know some of my routine. I usually go and see Granny Monday and Wednesday and Mike Tuesday and Friday, but this week we changed it. Mike is on leave from today until next Thursday, so he went to see his Mom on Monday. I went Tuesday and today. Then I hurried home, had some snacks and went to gym with Riana. Mel, energetically put us through our paces and after burning 500 calories, I came home.

Now I’m sitting in Mike’s home office, doing my blog, while he is sitting at his desk converting Radiowind to SQL. Radiowind is the radio playout software we use at CCFm. A number of other radio stations around the country also use it. CCFm is planning on changing from Radiowind. But Mike still has to convert it to SQL for the other stations. Way back in 1993, Mike wrote a DOS data base version for Radio Fish Hoek and in 2000 re-wrote a digital version in Windows.  This change will probably take him at least a month. If you are a Christian radio station, you get it free.

Tomorrow, I do the Rise and Shine show and then hit the road home, where I will pack and then Mike & I are off to Betty’s Bay for 3 nights. We look forward to doing some sleeping, swimming (Mike) and definitely walking and eating! This time tomorrow, I’ll be blogging from Betty’s Bay & will  have some fine Cape scenery to show you. Talking of scenery, Capetonians would have enjoyed the magnificent sunsets we have had this week…this is from the balcony..

Someone, please cut those lines out!

My inspiration for the day came from Psalm 94:18-19, which I entitled ‘What God does for us.

When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ Your love, O Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought joy to my soul.

How I love that the Bible talks about anxiety. How much anxiety we suffer in this life. My prayer and desire for you is to have joy in your soul, despite your anxiety. That is what God does for us.

God Bless you loads!

In His faithful Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
