Happy Moments Every Day

Tuesday

Today was the day….

My bites felt better. We swam and I didn’t get bitten again. The water was about 16.5, I think. I swam to the Lighthouse and back and when the net was put out, I swam to the barrel and back to make up my 2km. I also did some chatting with some of the people in the water.

Home for breakfast and work.  Then at lunchtime, Mike and I walked down to buy dinner supplies. The beach was jam packed. The sun shone brightly and my tan was added to. All that Vitamin D improved my mood.

And the train is regularly running now. This is from the cat walk…

And here is the official announcement.

Maybe one day, I’ll catch a train from Sunny Cove to Glencairn to swim in the tidal pool.

Last year, one of my new year resolutions was to try post more on Instagram. That was a complete fail. I’m hardly ever on that platform. But if I had made a resolution to swim in the sea more often, that would have been a grand success.  It was only 2nd February 2021, that the beaches were opened after another month of restrictions. A year ago, Mike and I were stomping all over Fish Hoek, but no swimming was allowed. From February onwards, we swam as often as we could. Maybe a good resolution is to plan on having happy moments every day. Today we sat out on the balcony. We walked twice and swam once. I have not yet filled the bird bottle. It’s looking a little sad, hanging all empty in the sunshine. Every now and again a lone bird flies up to take a little look. I’ll be off now to fill it up. Half a cup of sugar, instead of a full cup,  definitely slows bird traffic.

Proverbs 16:4

The Lord has made everything for His own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
