Great Sun Valley Road Makeover

One of the biggest problems with my area is the huge number of moles that frequent the underground tunnels they liberally make! As a result roads begin to become a bit undulating. Add to that the fact that they have not been properly maintained for 20 years leads to understanding as to why they are so worn. Today, I heard the rumble of trucks and when I left to go out, I saw what was going on. Today is the great Sun Valley Road Makeover. They seem to be resurfacing. On my return, I took photos of them all over the place…this is where the mole damage is particularly bad….

Digging up the road

Beautiful day in Cape Town….lovely blue skies. Loads of trucks about…

Trucks blocking the roadAnd roadwork equipment…

Tarring equipmentThey let me through but said it would be a good idea for me to stay home because the ‘truck will start resurfacing soon.’

Road closedI’ve got lots of work to do from home, so hanging out here is not a bad idea and when all the fun begins, I’ll have a good view. I can already see a neighbour hanging over her wall watching the proceedings! It is great to live in a quiet neighbourhood where the most exciting thing that happens is the road being resurfaced!

Prep work….Prep work

I guess this is where some of our rates and taxes go.

Romans 13:6-7 has an interesting thing to say about tax.

Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honour, then honour”

It’s the wise thing to do.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
