God is Listening More Than You Think!…

1-46pm

Not too much to speak of today… after the show, I did some admin work and then went to a presenter’s meeting…from left to right, Lulie, Odile, JP, Lynwen and Hanniki.  Presenters meetingThat took most of the morning. On my way home, the thing that was most striking was the flat sea…just caught a snippet of it in this photo…

Flat seaBack home, Peter is planning a road trip and first step is to hire a car, so that’s been on his agenda.  Mike is cooking tonight…spagbol, so I’m happy about that!

Riana is coming for tea at 3pm! Ah, good company! 🙂

This morning, I read the poignant account of ‘finding a wife for Isaac.’ Genesis 24:12 “Then he prayed…” Genesis 24:15 “Before he had finished praying…”

The power of prayer. Abraham was a mighty man of God. You could imagine God would answer his prayers. But how much do you think Abraham’s faith rubbed off on his servants? Genesis 24 reveals quite a lot actually! Abraham sent his chief servant back to Abraham’s land of Nahor. Mission:- Find A Wife For Isaac. This un-named servant must have been an impressive sight arriving outside the town – he, and no doubt, his helpers or grooms who would be managing his train of 10 camels laden with what the Bible describes as ‘all kinds of good things’ (vs 10). He has the camels kneel down near the well “ then he prayed“. He could well have left the praying to Abraham, but he doesn’t. He prays a prayer asking that the woman who offers to help him water the camels will be the one for Isaac. Vs 15 “Before he finished praying, Rebekah came out…” Sometimes it is hard for us to imagine that God will answer our prayers before we have finished praying. Think about that for a moment! He sends His mighty army of workers into action before we have got to AMEN! But, for prayers to be answered, they have to be prayed – so whether you are a mighty leader in your world or an un-named servant – PRAY! God is listening. He will not forsake you. Before you have finished praying, He is at work with the answer. Believe!

God bless you extraordinarily!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
