I’ve been following the story of Kiara Mun-Gavin. I’ve written about her before. After a horrible car crash on Christmas Eve, doctors gave her 48 hours to live. The minutes of those hours ticked by slow and painfully. Kiara’s family and friends gathered in droves to pray. God answered. Here is the latest news.
So many prayers for her have been answered. While her parents are positive, they are aware that a long recovery lies ahead.
One thing is for sure: God is at work in this young girl’s life and she will have an amazing testimony to tell.
Nothing happens without God’s permission, His presence and His purpose.
For me it’s been a busy day. I did 8 hours of work. This evening, Mike and I took Jess and Gerrie to the airport and stayed an hour to meet Julian who flew in from Johannesburg. While we were waiting we enjoyed coffee overlooking the runway…
It was great to see Julian again. He bought with him cameras that both Mike and David bought on Amazon and which were delivered to one of Julian’s hosts. Very happy husband and son tonight.
And now it’s bedtime!
Romans 8:15
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather the Spirit you received bought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry “Abba, Father.”
This verse is far more insightful than first meets the eye. In God’s sight we are not viewed as slaves. Slaves quite often lived in fear of their masters. In God’s sight we are viewed as His children- He has adopted us into His family – a close father/child relationship where we can call on Him whenever we want.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
