Monday
A few years ago Mike bought a new weed-eater. It was a big, solid and heavy power tool. I remember picking it up and thinking oh wow, this is heavy, I’ll never use it. Almost two years have passed and I’ve been working out and doing weights and getting stronger. Today, when I was putting the washing on the line, I saw how long the grass was so I suggested to Mike, if he bought out that weed-eater, I’d cut the grass. In a flash, Mike disappeared into the garage and returned with the grass gobbler. We plugged it in and I set to it.
The first thing I noticed is that it’s not nearly as heavy as it once was!
I did a patch and then Mike did some and we rotated until the lawn was done.
James the gardener, does a much better job. We left a few patches but it still looked much better.
Tomorrow, we may tackle the front!
The day started with me not being able to get onto my work server. I sent a Skype message for help and then decided, as those who could help were not yet at work yet, I’d got to gym. Half way through my work out, I checked my cell phone and found my access had been restored.
I got home, showered and started working and had just done that when my hairdresser phoned and asked if she could move my appointment from 2-30pm to 10-30am which was half an hour later. I quickly did a little more work and then dashed off to the have my hair cut. After that, I was able to work solidly until all the work was done.
We had an unexpected visit from David who was able to stay for dinner. Nice to see him.
All in all, it’s been a productive day.
Proverbs 24:3-4
By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
