This weekend we put up our Christmas tree. Full disclosure, it doesn’t quite look like this yet. We have put it up but not decorated it. It comes with built-in lights and looks fabulous at night, so can get away without decorations for the moment!
This evening Mike and I watched one of the (many) Christmas movies on Netflix. Plot a bit thin, acting not to great but I love them none the less.
Today started at about 6-30am when I did the coffee run to the kitchen, fed the cat, made cappuccino and we did our Bible reading. We went to the Methodist Church this morning and then had brunch at Chalk and Cheese, run by a family who came down from Zimbabwe not that long ago.
At lunchtime, I took Julian to the airport, going the scenic route…over Chapman’s Peak…
And then to Blue Cafe for a final coffee.
Julian is not back in Cape Town again until after New Year as he’s off to the States for ten days over Christmas. Will miss him this Festive Season.
#978 of my 1000 thanks is for my Puzzle Page. At the Blue Cafe I spotted a Sunday Times, so I asked the waitress if I could take the puzzle page. She asked her manager and she said yes! So now I have a Samurai Sudoku to do!
On my return from the airport, I had a bit of chill time (started the Sudoku) and then went to the Beretta’s for tea. Nice to catch up with them.
A restful weekend has ended.
Colossians 3:15
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
