My Lamp Post

It arrived yesterday and towers above the corner of our property.  If one can be excited about a lamp-post, I am. It’s going to completely illuminate our back garden and we won’t have to pay for it or its electricity! Furthermore, if we want to put a camera up, we have the perfect location…if we can get up there to install it. New street lights for the new road and we are the happy beneficiary.

#979 of my 1000 thanks – lamp-post for free!

While sitting here at my computer, I started hearing a scratching noise out on the balcony. Truffles gets up on the roof and then slides down the balcony roof and somehow wangles her way into the eaves of the balcony. She then sits there looking hopefully at the birds. It’s not so easy getting down, but she has a way…

My sweet cat. So agile.  I love cats. When Truffles gallops off into kitty heaven, I have in mind to get a pair of kittens to replace her. Mike has asked for time to get used to the idea. Hopefully he has a lot of time.

Today has been a perfect summer’s day. The sun rose early. I got up and made coffee for me and then headed off to gym. Home just before 8am, showered and immediate to work. I worked at least 6 hours. There was plenty to do and it’s not all done yet! We also did a load of washing and are now back in clothes! By late this afternoon I was so tired, I had a nap. That was very welcome.

Now I am refreshed and ready to tackle more work if I feel like it. I probably won’t! Tomorrow is another day.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.

Steadfast mind. It’s easy to fill a mind with rubbish.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

This week I’m going to try any exercise that doesn’t involved treadmill or the bike.

  • 21 minutes on the cross-trainer
  • 22 minute of the super circuit.
  • 5 minutes on the rowing machine. I thought I would do more, but it was a new movement and it hurt the inside of my forearms. I want to be able to do more this week!
  • 5 minutes on the stepping machine.
  • 9 minutes on three other weight machines.

Braces:

Day 27.  I woke up this morning and said to myself ‘today is day 27’. It’s strange to think that one day I will wake up and say, ‘today is day 270’. Help me to number my days that I may gain a heart of wisdom. In this process, I think I may learn what that looks like.  I’m emBRACING every day! 😀
