Today has been a good Friday . I had a bit of a slack attack, ate too many carbs and did not go to gym. I did do some work but just a couple of hours. Spring Break is a wonderful thing. I’m not sure if it will get busy next week but for now, I’m wallowing in the pleasure of normalcy!
I did go to my Friday Girls…great to have Cecile join us.
When I came home, I did some more work, went for a short walk and then received an email from MSC. Remember the internet voucher I didn’t use? They have refunded me. Furthermore, our cruise move is now completely sorted. We have moved from the Grand Cruise in October to a 4 night one in a year’s time. We got an additional 20% discount for the inconvenience of missing two nights on the Cape Town to Durban cruise when it was stranded off shore due to the wind. And then, to add to that, I emailed them saying my husband was a South African pensioner and doesn’t he get an extra discount? He did! All good. I’m pleased to have that wrapped up.
The other thing that happened today was we had news from the plans lady that the original house needed to have the plans completely redone. She had finished those and they have been submitted to Council. Another tiny little inch forward.
Tomorrow, I am driving to see Stacey. Mike will head off to Simon’s Town for their annual golf competition. While I love following Mike around Clovelly, I am not wild about the dangers that lurk at Simon’s Town golf club. It is such a compact course, when it’s busy, golf balls fly all over the place and the chance of being hit by one increases with each additional 4 ball teeing off. I will owe Mike a few rounds on a quiet day, but with the course packed, I’m off duty this weekend. So I will get this wrapped up and have an early night.
Titus 3:7
Because of His grace He made us right in His sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.
I have that confidence and I am so grateful for it.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
