Food Barn Breakfast Day

What wonderful rain fell overnight. Mike and I had a bit of a restless night, but slept in and woke up around 7-30am. What a treat. It was lovely to hear the rain. We decided to go out for a working breakfast. It was great!

#367 of my 1000 thanks – very nice breakfast at the Foodbarn!

We stopped at the Mall on the way home for a couple of groceries and some boxes. Julian has bought a big consignment of books and need about 100 boxes. We got 12. It’s a start!

I did a day’s work and really got onto top of everything. Tomorrow Riana comes and I have got two things to teach her which will really help me and at the same time give her the opportunity to learn the system.

As the sun began to set, Mike and I walked down to check out the Sun Valley pond after the rain. It’s looking quite good…with the ducks scooting across the water.

And in the reeds, it’s lovely to see the birds beginning to nest again…

Drought –

a prolonged period of abnormally low rainfall, leading to a shortage of water.

Seasons pass and this one of drought will too.  In the meantime, water conservation is the order of the day. Brain freeze is what I experience when I wash my hair outside using the tank water! Shew it’s cold, but my hair is beautiful and soft afterwards!

I’ve just spotted an advert for the Fiumicino Airport shuttle bus which will take us from Rome airport to the city centre for €6. That’s the cheapest I’ve found. The train is more expensive. Someone said in a review that it was cheaper to buy a ticket on arrival, so I’ve book-marked the page and will keep an eye on it.  We arrive in Rome at 7-30am. How long does it take to clear passport control and pick up luggage? I don’t know, but I guess we should be on a bus by about 9am. We should be able to be on a train out of Termini station by 10am, so that’s what I’m looking for…a fast train from Termini to Naples or even to take us directly to our first town. I love Italy. So steeped in history.

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it.

I’m so privileged to live here and be able to explore the world a little.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
