Flat Day to Fab Day…

3-57pm

I love it! Jesus makes the difference! He really does. How else can a day go from Flat to Fab. It’s only by connecting with Him and tapping into His grace and His presence and off-loading our burdens onto Him, that life can turn around. The Lord does not want us to go through life burdened and heavy laden. Despite some obstacles, I have been feeling the peace of God lately…peace that has kept me calm and comfortable ‘in His Grip’. That’s me. But when family members don’t feel the comfort of the Lord and struggle to find peace regardless of their situation, it troubles me more than it would trouble me if I were in their shoes. And so I carry the burdens of my family. Today,  after I had a brief meeting with my prayer friends, I felt lighter, no longer burdened or laden. It was so good. My prayer friends are on when I’m on air. They are an essential part of the Rise and Shine team and I appreciate them. Every cloud has a silver lining…

Matthew 11:28-30“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Today after the show, I did a bit of work and then went through to UCT to pick up David. Then we snuck off to Rhodes Memorial for a snack….(*Personal chastisement:) “Oh Helga!! What a life you live! You have to stop this, my girl, or else you will need to go back on My Fitness Pal and shed gained kilos!” Okay, for today, put it down to quality time with David – when that happens, kilojoules don’t count!  It was cold and windy at Rhodes Memorial, but they had space for us in their Protea Room…

In the garden, no one was prepared to challenge the chilly breeze, despite the view…

Then it was back to Fish Hoek to do some chores before coming on home. This evening, we’ll be urging the Mumbai Indians into victory (we hope) and popping down to the Mall to pick up milk.

All downhill to the weekend. Tomorrow is Thursday! Yippee!

God bless you!

You, me, ons twee, In His Grip,

Helga 🙂 🙂
