First Look at Second Level

Saturday

Yesterday evening before dinner, we went down to Echo to see the day’s work. I was amazed. They had bridged the gap with the boxing going all the way across to the next pile.

We scrambled up steps and rubble and to our astonishment, they had already filled in half of the next level. It was really unexpected to see this….

Julian and Mike wasted no time is hopping over and taking a look…

I did too. This is looking down on the basement…

This is the first view from the second level..

The workmen have a lot of work to do in order to be ready to pour the next round of concrete which is due on Wednesday. They had to bring all the blocks up the mountain and pile them on the basement. Most came up yesterday (you can see in the photo of the basement). Today the workers were all onsite. The hardest work of all was bringing up the concrete ribs for the rib and block. Strong men….

Putting them down…

What they don’t know is the next floor up will also have them. 🙈

Others were working on the boxes for the beams…

They will be onsite tomorrow as well. Hopefully, by Monday all the work will be done and on Tuesday Mike and I will go lay the conduits for the electrics. Once the concrete is poured on Wednesday, things won’t go tearing on ahead because of the holidays. The concrete will need a week to cure and that will take us to the 18th December. We’ll see what Werner’s plans are then.

We are praying for the safety of all these workers. The site is dangerous at the moment.

I took Julian to the airport, came home and am now about to watch another episode of Sanditon.

Psalm 100:4

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His Name.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

  • I walked a fast 5.5km. It was an exercise in endurance because I went the same pace the whole way.
  • Then I did the super circuit and some Pilates exercises after that
