Dear Elsie
Today was a day there were a lot of helicopters about because there was a big mountain fire above Simon’s Town. Fire services were out in force as there was a strong south-easter blowing. There were numbers of helicopters going back and forth. Sanparks.
And a military chopper. From our house, we can see the smoke but not smell it as it’s blowing towards Noordhoek.
From Simon’s Town it’s a different story. There are a lot of photos taken and posted on the neighbourhood Whatsapp group, but they have been forwarded so I don’t know who took them, although this one was clearly from the Deep South Report!
I also took some screen shots from video footage.
This was the 4pm update…
It’s going to be a long night for the fire crew.
I worked almost 7 hours and now we are about to have dinner. Julian is about to land.
Isaiah 50:9
It is the Sovereign Lord who helps me.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx
