“Find your passion”, they say.

11-51am

Today a cold front is blowing in. From the forecast not too much rain is expected, but it has been very windy with a strong north-wester and some thunder and lightening. I love winter in Cape Town. After getting up and getting dressed, we went out for breakfast with my brother.

Since getting home, I  have  been writing up my series on Making Marriage Work. These are 250-300 words ‘shorts’  on different aspects of marriage. Now that  I’ve written a month’s supply, I’ll record them and send the link to all the Christian radio stations in the country. They can air them if they would like to.  I’m hoping to make this an ongoing series. What I love about radio is that it usually is to an audience of one.  So this quick 90 second piece of advice is short enough for you to catch without needing a lot of time. These are June’s topics….Making Marriage Work JuneIf you have any ideas for more you can email helgasdailyblog@gmail.com and I’ll schedule them in for July! These ones will soon appear in written and audio form on the “Making Marriage Work” page.

“Find your passion”, they say. I’m passionate about radio and I’m passionate about marriage. So with my radio career on hold, I’ll work on feeding people ideas on making marriage work.

Julian brought with him a book I have wanted to read. It’s historic Cape Town.

A taste of the south easterNext step in my life today is to make butternut and orange sweet potato soup and a chicken dish for dinner. Then I’m going to hop back into bed and read!

I have been reflecting on the words of a verse in psalms which I have never fully noticed before.

Psalm 139 vs 17
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

I have quoted it in the King James Version because that is the oldest translation that indicates that God is thinking about each one of us. God is thinking about you! You are not forgotten. Your Creator not only formed you in your Mom’s tummy so many years ago, but He is still thinking of you and His thoughts for you are for good! The Bible is rich with good news.

God bless you today!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
