That was the gist of today. I woke up feeling a lot better, but turned out I only worked about 5 hours, which is perfect.
#779 of my 1000 thanks is I feel better.
During the course of the day, I was in my bedroom when I suddenly heard faint snoring. It sounded like Truffles. I wondered where she was. I took a chair and climbed up to see if she was in the duffel bag on the top of the cupboard, but that was empty. Then, I spotted fur. A while ago, when she started going onto the top of the cupboard, we put her box right up in the corner. She turned her nose up at it when we first tried to get her to sleep in it. Today, there she was….
Right now she is purring away on my lap. Cold weather sends the snootiest of cats lap-wards!
This afternoon, we took a short walk round the neighbourhood. Many times, I took my children to play in this park…
This evening, David popped in. He has just come back from a weekend of cycling with his best friend Jack. On Friday, they cycled from Franschoek to Worcester where they camped for the night. Saturday they cycled over Bainskloof, slept another night before cycling back to Franschoek.
They loved it. I’m looking forward to seeing the photos…here’s one he posted to his FB page…that’s quite a hill…
It’s been a good day.
Numbers 23:19
God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
