Today was the day…
I felt under the weather. I have picked up an infection probably in the some dirty sea water. The other day when I was swimming towards the lighthouse at Fish Hoek beach, I noticed it was quite murky. Yesterday when I had signs of a urinary tract infection, I didn’t waste any time rushing off to have it treated. I haven’t had a UTI for a very long time – at least a decade or more. Treatment has changed in that time. Instead of 2 antibiotics a day for 5 days, now there is this…
It’s a small sachet of granules that you put in half a glass of water and drink on an empty stomach. One dose, job done.
So while it fixed my UTI, there are some common side effects which I got. Indigestion, a headache and some respiratory congestion being three of them. While I felt fine during the UTI, now that it’s over, I’m feeling tired and ready for bed, while it’s not yet 7pm! It’s only really this afternoon that I’m feeling worse for wear.
Tomorrow I’m sure I will be better.
No exercise today and I will be resting tomorrow as well. This morning I followed David across to his mechanic in Ocean View to have his brakes seen to. I bought him home and later Mike took him back to pick it up again.
I had a lot of work this afternoon – 4 online appointments but when I finished the last one, I was really happy because it’s the last one for the week. I have kept tomorrow free.
As far as the weather goes, a cloudy strong south-easter is blowing whipping up the waves and making me really glad I took today off.
