Engineer’s Quote Arrived

In a week or two we should receive a quote for the house we hope to have built this year. Last night the engineer’s quote arrived. We weren’t sure how much to expect. He gave us a deal where if we pay upfront, it will be less. So that cost is R32600. The money is going to start flowing out of our bank accounts. We have planned for this. When Mike retired, he took the tax-free portion and invested it. Apart from that I’ve been working my tail off so we have contingency/travel/holiday/orthodontic cash! This year is going to be particular expensive with a number of things happening.  It is unusual that 2009 was a similar very expensive year. We had both Stacey and David at university; we bought a flat and Adrian and Stacey got married. The wedding was wonderful and not overly expensive. They wanted a small wedding. I thought 50 was small, but they wanted smaller, so we settled on 20. It was perfect.

Ten years on we have another bountiful year ahead. The Lord goes before us! #Exciting times! David has released another YouTube video. So relaxing.

Today I slept in and started work just after 8am. Last night I checked my email and there was nothing new. This morning there was still nothing. I had lots of work to do. It didn’t matter there was no email. I had other things to catch up with. Then this afternoon, my colleague Skyped with me to say the email serve was down for about 12 hours! Duh! No wonder there was no email. Suddenly it all came flooding in and I worked like crazy this afternoon to catch up. All in all I did 7 hours. I’m grateful to have a steady flow of stress-free work.

1 Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

We have a living hope!

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

Swam 60 x 25m lengths. Just so you know: it usually takes me 35 seconds to swim one x 25m length. The world record for 50m is a staggering 21.30 seconds. Today I swam 60 lengths in 60 minutes! My arms were so sore. Swimming is excellent exercise. One of the reasons I swam today was because my knees were sore. My knees are now fine, but tomorrow my shoulders will be talking!

Braces:

Day 56  – it’s 8 weeks.
