Easter Sunday 2024

Dear Elsie

Today is Easter Sunday. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed.

We had a quiet day after a morning swim. Grateful for David’s better health and some family time. Jess, Gerrie and Lizzy visited Swellendam on Friday and got to meet Elsie. Jess took some lovely pics.

Gerrie getting Lizzy rocking…

Elsie absolutely loved playing with her.

This afternoon Julian went to visit Valerie-Gail who is in hospital. I’m glad to hear she is in good spirits. Wishing you a speedy recovery V-G.

It’s good to have David feeling stronger and having more energy. Last night he went to a friend’s birthday party and this evening, he is here playing his guitar with Lizzy dancing!

It’s such a blessing to see him with more energy than he’s had in months.  He’s given himself this year to try to fully recover – so the progress is slow but sure. Easter represents new life – that’s what we pray for, for all our family.

Luke 9:23-25
Then He (Jesus) said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
