Easter Sunday 2012… Louis Oosthuizen Double Eagle :-)

7-42pm

I rose early today…before 6am. My first port of call was the kitchen.  Usually on Easter Sunday, I would make a roast and have roast potatoes with all the trimmings, but with the rain and cold, I decided upon beef stew instead. So I  chopped up onions and prepared the beef & got it on the go.

Then I made myself a cup of coffee and sat and did my Bible reading. There is so much to be learned from God’s Word. I am coming towards the end of Deuteronomy. Moses is told by God to commission Joshua to take over his leadership. Moses implores Joshua to remain loyal to the Law of God.  In Deuteronomy 32, he says “47 They are not just idle words for you—they are your life.”

Then it was onto Luke….chapter 12:48b

I have been given much. I have been entrusted with much. I will have to give an account. These are not just idle words…these are your life.

By 9am, we were all at church. It was wonderful to have Julian, Mike & I, David and Stacey and Adrian all at a service together. That was a joy!

Home for the stew, along with Mike’s amazing mashed potatoes. We hung out together and then I had an afternoon nap. Later in the afternoon, we went for a drive, then a walk (in the rain!).

I also took out the next in the BBC Cranford series. Love it. We watched the first part and right now have stopped the DVD to focus on more important matters…LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN at the US Masters Golf Championships! Mike & Julian were downstairs when they let out an enormous ROAR!!! I rushed down to find out what had happened. On a par 5, Louis Oosthuizen had got it in the hole in 2!!!  🙂  🙂  That’s an albatross, although the commentators kept saying double eagle. Whatever they want to call it, it catapulted Oosthuizen into a two shot lead. Last year Charl Schwartzel won the tournament. It will be stunning if Oosthuizen can win it this year…Go Louis…
