Dirty Work!

Friday

Today was the day…

That had a good amount of balance in it. We did not go to the beach. The south-easter was blowing gales and the last time I ventured into the sea with such waves and swells, I felt I was being churned around in a washing machine.

I did get our linen washed. One of the great things about our apartment is the side balcony which is on the north side –  when the wind is blowing from the south-east, it’s completely protected meaning our drying racks don’t blow away. The washing got dried in no time.

I worked the morning.

Then, having done no exercise today, in the afternoon,  I joined Mike under the house and did some seriously dirty work. Outside the main front door there will be about a 12m2 patio. Courage is building up the boundary wall and Mike is taking the rocks from under the house and backfilling for that patio.

Back filling area…

A whole batch of those rocks, I put there, putting them in a bucket and lugging them up just 8 steps to dump them in the hole. An hour of that and 391 calories were burned! It’s good cardio. We are going to be landscaping for years.

Our guests have just arrived for the weekend. They all look excited to be here. 🙂

So with work, washing and exercise behind me, the only thing to do next is to start my tax! Ah man, I just need to start! I need to get it finished by Monday, so just starting this evening will make it easier to complete tomorrow. I’ve just opened the spreadsheet and will start working on it.

Mike had a profitable day as well as he went to the traffic department and got the licenses for three cars. It took over an hour, but it’s done!

Yay for the weekend!

Psalm 55:22

Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
