We are so grateful! Sometimes things DON’T go our way. I know it doesn’t always seem like it. Because I generally blog ‘positively’ it gives the appearance that my life is pretty good (which it is) and that I have few problems (which is true!).Β Few, being the operative word. Problems, however, are not absent. In the big scheme of things, problems are few. But I too can get stressed & one of those major recent stressors was David falling sick on the day of his final performance – it had to be postponed. The uncertainty of that time was very stressful. It seemed that he would not be able to do the final performance until NEXT YEAR! Graduation would therefore only be in June next year as well. It pretty much sucked! But, as it turned out, he was able to do the performance a week later, and did it brilliantly. And so yesterday afternoon, he graduated with a BMus in Western Classical Performance in Guitar. Proud proud parents, we are! We thank the LordΒ for the amazing gift he has given David. He is extremely talented!
Photo time…
And then we stopped a passer by and asked him to take one of the three of us…(turned out the ‘passer by’ was Johan Odendaal, reknown South African chef π ). He took this one…
Proud proud parents! Well done David! π BMus, done and dusted!
This morning, I was woken with Mike bringing me coffee! What a treat. It was EARLY! After coffee, we got up, got into our running gear and went down to the beach…
We ran/walked 5km and then swam. The tide was high and the water, fresh. The shower was perfect and the sun warm on our shoulders. By just after 7am, we were home! I showered & dressed Granny and then she had breakfast on the patio. Mike went to church. Consistent with the need for rest, I went back to bed and slept for an hour and a half. Yep. I needed it. Mike returned with lunch in hand. I made a salad and served. Mike made coffee and is now sleeping. I’m posting this blog and going back to sleep again as well! By the time Tuesday rolls around, I will be well-rested and ready to conquer my world! π
I have been reading through the Bible and as we are approaching the end of the year, I’m in the minor prophets…Micah to be precise.
Micah 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
I love the simplicity of this verse. Keep focussed:Β Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly. The Bible is the handbook for life. Are you up to the challenge of reading through it in 2013? 15 minutes a day is all it will take. Here’s the link for the website – print the daily reading plan, pop it in your Bible and come Jan 1st, off you go…

God bless you abundantly!
