Friday
Today was the day…
I wrote all over David’s Christmas present! A few years ago David gave me a diary that he had opened and written messages on certain days…all the birthdays particularly. Today I’ve done the same. He never reads my blog. He may come back here in the future and read some of my ramblings, but he isn’t one of my blog followers, so I can say what I’ve done without him knowing. I bought him a 2022 diary. He said he does use a diary. I’d be lost without mine. I’ve taken off the wrapping and scrawled messages on various days, reminding him of birthdays and even our wedding anniversary which is a joke. He feels wedding anniversaries are for the couples to celebrate and he doesn’t need to be reminded of them. The fun part about doing this is that often the messages are often only discovered when you get to the day on which they appear. It’s a creative Christmas gift.
Today, our guest Thinus left the Little Lookout after 17 days. Mike and I did the clean before another duo arrived. It takes just over an hour from start to finish to do a thorough clean and get the unit back into ship-shape.
I did a few hours work. I also walked to Fish Hoek for some shopping. It’s been a pretty chilled day. Weekend and the wind is expected to die down a bit tomorrow, so I may get a swim in.
Psalm 145:19
He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him; He also hears their cry and saves them.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
