Corona Jitters

Monday

It is the strangest thing to watch as a tiny virus, unseen to the naked eye brings the entire world to its knees. It’s been bizarre to hear of countries such as Italy telling every one to stay home; telling tourists not to come. To see headlines like this…

This morning Mike and I did some shopping – people were out in force doing some serious stocking up. The only store we saw doing something different as far as hand sanitizing goes was Food Lover’s Market…

The guy who manned the spray bottle was very generous!

The truth be told I’m a great psychosomatic sufferer. When Julian needed a stent in 2016, I had chest pain for a week. The moment I started hearing how rapidly corona virus was spreading, I immediately felt unwell! I couldn’t create a cough nor a high temperature but I just felt slightly under the weather.  This evening, I’m feeling much better.

Today there were only 3 new positive cases in South Africa, taking the number to 64.  Schools close on Wednesday as a precaution and gatherings of more than 100 are prohibited. The tourism industry is in tatters and the world’s stock markets have tanked. It just all adds to the jitters. With all these things, we need to adjust to a new normal and we will.

This afternoon, I went down to Echo. Today they put the cladding up to the ground floor door…

And the central beam box has been constructed on the first floor.

A week tomorrow, God willing, is the concrete pour for the second floor.

Romans 5:1

Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Peace.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

With Covid-19, I’m thinking of pausing my gym membership for a month. I did go walking with Julian.
