Coming Up For Air!

Tuesday

Today I felt I could come up for air. I only worked four hours. I really needed the rest and even managed to get to gym.

First though, Mike needed to go and measure the first floor now that the slab had been laid. David came to help…back left corner…

Back right corner…

His sheet of numbers…it’s a 135 square metres excluding the side balcony.

The slab being watered down…

Looking north towards Chapman’s Peak. It amazes me that the view I’ve had from our current house for more than 30 years, I’ll still get a glimpse of from the next one.

Mike has the most amazing amount of energy. I cannot keep up. After measuring, he spent the rest of the day planning the size of the columns that will go through this floor to make sure they are engineered to a slightly smaller size. He has been relentless in designing and finalising the details of the plans. I think he drives the builder nuts. 😉

This evening David and I took Julian to the airport, having sushi on the way. We bought pasta for Mike on the way home.

I’m beginning to feel normal again.

Ephesians 1:11

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.

We trust the Lord.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
