This morning, Mike and I jumped into our cars and trundled over the mountain. I managed to stay behind him 7/8 of the way, finally getting caught at a traffic light just moments before our destination.
My car was going in for its 60 000km service.
My phone proudly displayed the temperature. No wonder I was cold.
After checking the car in we had breakfast and then headed home to work. I managed to get to gym and we were back to pick up the car at just before 3pm.
#749 of my 1000 thanks is that the chore of getting my car serviced is DONE!
It’s been a casual day. One of the websites saved on my cell phone is this one:
If there is ever a sportsman to admire, it’s South African Brit Lewis Pugh. He was born in the UK but has been in South Africa most of his life. He has returned to the UK to swim the entire length of the English Channel (LENGTH, not width) – it’s 560km from Cornwall to Dover. (I get excited when I swim 1km!) He is just over half way. His blog is so well written and my admiration for him grows every day. What a challenge. It’s going to take him 50 days, swimming a couple of hours every day and spending the rest of the day recovering, eating and sometimes speaking to the press. His cause is the deteriorating sea life caused largely by plastic. He’s aiming to try and get better protection for the English Channel.
Proverbs 29:25
Whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.
Yes.
Tomorrow is Women’s Day but mainly celebrated as our wedding anniversary!
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
Gym:
- 29 minute – Fast walk
- 32 minutes – Big 5 followed by a quick Abs c. The big 5 are not so cardio heavy but they make your muscles work. I know I’m going to be stiff tomorrow.
