Clearing the Funicular Lane

Monday

Today was the day…

More clearing was done on the funicular lane. The plan is to (one day in the next couple of years) have a funicular – a mountainside lift – that will transport us up and down the hillside. It is really so we can age in place. My opinion of these things is to get them done as soon as possible because they only go up in price. When we opened the land up at the top, it was the start of it…this was Feb 8th.

A month later and Courage and Elijah started clearing further down the stairs…

A couple of hours later and good progress had been made

We still have a long way to go. The actual funicular with tracks etc will only be installed after the house behind ours is built, so that will be quite some time. The main reason for doing this right now is because we need to fill behind our current house. There is to be a patio there and we need back fill for it, so this is where we are getting it from. The funicular lane will initially carry a path up to the back plot. When the building there starts going up, builders will use the funicular lane to carry equipment and not our stairs. Our stairs got covered in rubble when our build was going up. We want a division of land when the build behind begins to prevent this…which was 8th September 2020.

We have come a long way!

We did not swim today. Mondays are always busy for me and I like to get on top of everything. I started work early, had done 7 hours by 3pm and then Mike and I walked to the village for milk.

Now we are about to have dinner.

Ephesians 4:6

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
