Christmas Eve in the van Niekerk household…

3-14pm

Last night we celebrated Christmas with Adrian & Stacey because they are spending Christmas with Adrian’s parents who live nearly 8 hours away. We had a lovely evening together first eating out and then back at home where we exchanged gifts and chatted and laughed. Stacey loves tinkering on the piano…when David joins her, they do well together…I so love this photo…

Today, we went out for breakfast and then I came home and started cooking. The lamb is in the slow cooker, the trifle is in the fridge, the pork will be done tomorrow and here is a sample of some personalised mince pies…

Once I had cooked, I cleaned. Once I had cleaned I rested. Now that I’ve rested, I’ve done the very last minute shopping and soon we will go for a walk. The plan for this evening is first a movie and then church at midnight! Tomorrow is Christmas!

Galatians 4:4-5 God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.

From www.verseoftheday.com
God sent His Son. No one else would do. He had sent prophets, priests, and preachers. Religion remained earthbound, legalistic, and doomed. So God sent what is most precious to Him, His Son. Why? So  human beings such as you and I could be adopted into His family and find forgiveness and salvation.

I’m blessed to believe it! Not everyone does.

Have a wonderfully blessed Christmas!

Lots of love and blessings,

In His grip,

Helga xx 🙂
