So today has been a fun day for Morgan.
Corey, her boyfriend, set up a treasure hunt for her and it really has cheered her up. Since the burglary, she has stayed with friends so he came round early this morning to sort out clue number 1…here is Corey
He left and soon after, Morgan and Cat arrived to flowers and refreshments…looks like it’s going to be an interesting day!
The clue was in this envelope…
Morgan wasted no time opening it…
….. watched the video to see what came next…
….and then off she went with Cat to find the next clue…
#393 of my 1000 thanks is the great reminder that joy can follow misery!
Tomorrow it will be a week since the second break-in and I’m telling you, Mike and I will do some patrolling to suss out anyone who may consider revisiting us in this way. I do feel more secure knowing the house and cottage are alarmed. I don’t know if Morgan will return before she leaves South Africa and I understand if she doesn’t. Regardless, it is good that everything is secure.
I read Psalm 36 this morning. When read in the light of our burglary, it’s very appropriate. The verse that struck me came in verse 11
May the foot of the proud not come against me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
God doesn’t want us to live in fear or to be driven away by it.
Other verses
- Verse 5: Your love, O Lord reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.
- Verse 9: For with You is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.
I know sometimes terrible things happen to people. I’ve heard of priests who have faithfully and selflessly served God and people only to have their lives brutally cut down by one of those they helped.
Terrifying and tragic.
They could take his life, but they could not take his soul.
- Verse 12: See how the evildoers lie fallen – thrown down, not able to rise.
God will always have the last word.
It’s not about here and now. I need to be an eternity thinker. The best is yet to come.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
