4-21pm
She’s been part of my life for 24 years and nine glorious months. This precious daughter of mine has been bringing joy to Mike and I for almost a quarter of a century! As I look back on Stacey’s life, I thank God for all that HE has done for her. She is loving and kind and articulate and clever and funny and talented and creative and happy! She loves the Lord and she loves her husband Adrian and she loves her family. Today, she specially wanted to be in church and then come over to our home so we could celebrate with her. Yesterday, as you may have seen, the incredible cake was baked and today, it was half demolished. The birthday girl!…
The first hour and a half of the day was very productive. I was off pounding the pavement at 5-45am. Home by 6-15am and got stuck into sweeping the leaves on the patio. I finished the dishes, cleaned the kitchen and the lounge, prepared veggies and made Granny’s tea and coffee for Mike & Julian.
At 9am we were at church and it was absolutely delightful…look at these angels…
There were more…and a few shepherds too…
And they all stood up and waved their flags and sang “Joy to the World”…
Lunch was a grand affair and with the day so stunningly warm, we ate outside for the first time this year.
Julian will leave for the airport in a few hours, so we have just enough time to go walking. As I read the Bible, I have learned that what is really, really important is walking in obedience.
Deuteronomy 8:6
Observe the commands of the LORD your God, walking in obedience to Him and revering Him.
Now THAT is good exercise!
A happy Sunday!
God bless!
In His grip…
