This evening Mike and I went to celebrate with Radio CCFm at a lovely dinner held to give thanks to God for 25 years on air.
Radio CCFm first went on air on 1st September 1993 as Radio Fish Hoek – it’s amazing that that was a quarter of a century ago. Mike got involved right at the start and is still producing his technology show each week. It was an evening of reminiscing and gratitude. It was wonderful to catch up with so many of the folk who were around in the early days. Here’s Mike with Don Glass, Pastor John Thomas and Pat McQuillan who were all so involved in those early days.
John and Avril…always faithful in God’s work.
Avril, with Thelma and Naomi. Thelma and Naomi have been at CCFm for years and years faithfully producing and presenting their weekly shows.
What a privilege it was for me to be part of this radio station. At the heart of it is the desire to bring the gospel to Cape Town. I pray for many more successful years of broadcast. God bless each one who enters those doors each day.
And we all went home with mementos…
A nice ending to a good day.
Although I woke up with a pain in the neck…that was definitely something gym related, so I scrapped gym today and instead took a myprodol and that definitely helped. If I haven’t said it already let me say it now:
#925 of my 1000 thanks is for myprodol. I don’t take them often but when I need one, it’s a bomb!
As I’m writing, Mike is busy packing. He likes to be very organised before we leave for Swellendam which is tomorrow…it’s a case of waking up and ten minutes later being in the car and off we go. I have a hard time keeping up! Once I’ve posted this, I’ll pack my laptop and be sure to be ready. It’s only two nights so we don’t need much. Stuart will take good care of Truffles.
Psalm 31:1
The king rejoices in Your strength, Lord, How great is his joy in the victories You give!
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
