Cats & Cricket

Saturday

Dear Elsie

Today I took loads of photos of the cats throughout the day. You can see how much they park off in the cat corner. This is a corner of the lounge, where they have their cat stand and a little bench where they sleep and chill. I just didn’t realise they spent so much time there…as we were home most of the day, I tracked their activities…starting at 8.19am

Two hours later….

An hour after that…these lazy boys were still lounging…David got them moving…

Just after noon they went out…

An hour later, they were sleeping off their hard activity…

By 2.19pm they had split up…

Raiku under the table…

3.19pm

It’s a hard life but someone has to do it! This was a funny one. Raiku needs a lot of attention and entertainment. He tends to annoy Claw’d. Here he had been standing on Clawd’s head. He’s just lifted his foot when I took the photo but I still got Clawd’s expression!

The van-niecats – always entertaining.

I wasn’t only taking photos of cats today. This morning before 8am, Mike and I cleaned the Seaview apartment as the guests had left really early. Then Mike went off to the SV house and met the plumber there. That issue is fixed for now. While he was out, I cleaned our apartment and did the laundry.

From 10.30am we were mainly sitting in front of the TV watching South Africa play England in World Cat – I mean Cup – Cricket.  After being 4 for 1 in the first over, our hearts sank. But we made a phenomenal recovery and went onto score a scintillating 399 in our 50 overs. It was 37C in Mumbai and conditions were gruelling. England just was on the back foot from the get go and we soon bowled them out. As we lost to Netherlands the other day in a nightmare of a match, we know how hard it is to lose. We can’t let down our guard. Next match is against Bangladesh on Tuesday.

And now it’s time to rest – maybe I’ll even get an hour’s sleep ahead of the rugby tonight – another World Cup match against England. Go SA.

A good Saturday so far.

Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
