Carer, Cook, Cleaner…

Yep, that’s my role for the next two weeks…Granny’s full time carer, the cook and the cleaner! It makes a difference that I have taken the time off to fill these roles and believe it or not, it’s going to be quite fine.  Mike & I make a good team. I know he will help.

The sunrise on this summer solstice day was quite spectacular…

Of course, it is the 21st December 2012…the day the Mayan Calendar ended and begins again….

Talking of significant days, there wasn’t as much hype yesterday as there was on 12-12-12. Yesterday was 2012 2012, so at 2012, I had my photo taken…in my nightie, ready for bed…no make up even….

Today, I actually feel as though I am already on holiday! I left the studio early and headed off to Blue Route where I did quite a bit of shopping and got in the right queue to pay…for once it moved faster than all those around it! 🙂 🙂  Whoop! Whoop! Be grateful for small things….getting the fastest check out at the supermarket doesn’t happen often!

This afternoon, I’ve been wrapping prezzies as well as rearranging. I’ve cleaned up some stuff and am going to move the dining room table down to the piano room. Then I’m going to move a smaller table to where the dining room table was (next to the Christmas tree) and on that table I’m putting the 1000 piece puzzle of Cape Town. That will be fun to do.

Tonight we’ve got wors rolls on the menu and CRICKET on the TV! Should be fun.
