Saturday
I woke up just after 7am this morning and checked online that Tredici was open. Once I saw it was, I got dressed and drove the 2km to buy cappuccino for Mike and I.
It was surprisingly busy. I walked away with two piping hot double shots. Mike was still asleep when I got home, so it was a nice way to wake him up. I sat outside and watched a male weaver bird laboriously building his home. Mike came out with his camera to try capture a photo of this amazing architect painstakingly gathering the perfect twigs to construct his double volume, two roomed home. Here he had just arrived with the next delivery of building material…
Getting stuck into the work…
A closer look…
It was amazing to watch. It’s hard work building a home, but very satisfying and rewarding.
But the highlight of the day of course was with our family. We joined Adrian, Stacey, Elsie and Adrian’s Dad for breakfast. Later in the morning, when Elsie had gone down for a nap, Stacey and I went out for coffee which was great. We did some shopping and then came back to the cottage for a rest. At just after 3pm, I walked up to Stacey’s. She met me on the Main road so I didn’t have to climb the mountain of an incline to get up to their hillside home. There followed a leisurely afternoon and evening. Stacey cooked a lovely meal and we had a good chat.
Now we are back at the cottage and having a quiet rest of evening.
Proverbs 19:20
Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter days.
Good advice.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.

Gym:
I need a few rest days. This morning I hit the top of my foot and bruised it. It is now so sore to put my training shoes on. We’ll see how the next day or two goes.
