That was the order of today.
I’ve got this app called 30 Day Fitness Challenge, which I downloaded for free. Now that I’ve been following it for more than 2 months, I’m getting to the serious stage. Take a look at this…
There was also a 100 second bridge and a 95 second plank at the end. Of the above, it’s the burpees that I find most strenuous! I had to break it down to 6+6+8.
Such good exercise and even though I have had some knee issues, I’m finding the squats and the lunges are not making my knees worse, but are rather making then stronger.
I earned the mega cappuccino…
Mike and I actually had breakfast out….and were pleasantly surprise when the waiter told us that someone at the restaurant had settled our bill for us. That was cool! 🙂
An unexpected generous gesture indeed.
#224 of my 1000 thanks is for that kindness. This person did not need to do that. It was so sweet of him. We know who he is and really appreciated it.
Made me think it’s the kind of thing to pay forward.
While I have been ticking away at this blog, dinner has been cooking in the oven. I’ve just gone downstairs to check it out…that’s sweet potato, roast vegetables and sausages.
That’s dinner.
This is what I like about having taken my blog off Facebook. I felt I was having to write substance, when what I really want to do is write about the normalcy of every day life. Here I am on a hot sunny day with the dump truck roaring in the background as they pick up the rubbish. This is the normalcy of every day life. For me right now it involves exercise, cappuccino, work, running the home and just enjoying sitting at my computer admiring the changing of the season with very little wind and very blue sky.
Mike appears from time to time with his regular question, “how’s wife?” to which I reply, “wife’s fine!”
Some time during the day, Stacey may call and we will chat about life and what’s happening in hers and mine.
This is a regular every day life and I absolutely love it.
One day I want to arrange a road trip to see Stacey and Adrian. We haven’t been for ages.
Each day begins with coffee and then Mike & I pick up our Bibles and do our individual Bible readings. Then we close our eyes and pray.
Mike prays on his own. I pray on my own. I pray for my family. I pray for my friends. I pray for the generation not yet born and I pray for the husbands and wives to be of the generation not yet born. I may not pray that every day, but I pray for my family every day. My desire is that they will be Christ followers and that God will lead them to the people that will influence their lives in a positive way. Â I end with the Lord’s prayer. It’s such a powerful prayer.
Luke 11:2–4
“Pray then like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.'”Â
These ARE the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
