Happy Days!

Today the offers for the applicants who were successful in the last batch of interviews got sent out to them! Happy days! They were so excited. Now they have to make it work. A lot of paperwork awaits, as does, in time, Abu Dhabi. It’s certainly a great adventure.

But absolutely, #225 of my 1000 thanks is that the offers have been sent. They took a bit of time in coming, so I’m so glad they have been issued.

The other thing that happened today is HAIRCUT! Here I am aged 52 and 4 months…

At least no hair dye!

That’s the good part of today. The frustrating part of today is my internet connection. It just seems that I can’t connect remotely to my work server and as a result work has stalled. So bad is it that in order to work, I’m going to have to take my laptop and go and work somewhere else.  In the meantime, the work piles up. :/

I guess while I’m waiting for things to normalise, I can do some useful stuff, like make an appointment for Truffles to see the vet for her annual check up. That’s Tuesday at 9am.

The other thing we are working on at the moment is an itinerary. We will be away for the month of October and so I have found a nifty website called “trip hobo” where you can put in all the places on your itinerary and it helps you plan. That makes it a lot easier and a lot of fun. The internet has changed the way we communicate, we work, we live, we travel. We literally don’t need phone directories any more. I google restaurants, book flights, find accommodation, pay, bank and work all from my home computer. All so convenient until the connection starts giving me grief. Then it is very frustrating!

One thing about knowing God is that He is always there – no internet connection required.

Jeremiah 33:3

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

That’s the best connection ever.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
