Extra blog after this news broke this morning…
It does surprise me that the mainstream media doesn’t seem to have picked up on this story. This morning when I was at the beach, all was calm…
I was in the sea by 5-45am. Mike went for a run along the beach. I went for a paddle in the shallows. Staying towards the cat walk side, I was alone in the water. As it was so early and the shark nets were not yet in place, I didn’t venture in too deep. I stayed in the shallows, swimming a bit and floating on my back enjoying the beauty of the new day. Every now and again, I glanced out to sea but saw nothing untoward. The sun had risen and was bright in the morning sky.
It was with a shock, when later in the day, I tracked down this story online on a 4×4 community website…
I then went to the Fish Hoek Beach Facebook page where they had posted this…
It certainly sounds gruesome . It’s a busy time of the year one imagines that someone would have seen something, especially those who live in view of the nets. There are at this point more questions than answers. I tried finding the story on IOL and News24 to no avail, but Eye Witness News had it…
And as the day wore on, People’s Post revealed more information…(thanks Jo for letting me know about this article)…
I tried calling FH police station to find out more, but there was no reply.
Pray for our little town, that violence will not prevail.
Matthew 10:28
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
