2-37pm
IN the middle of the night I heard a message come through to my cell phone. I got up and checked too see if it was anything important and it absolutely was not! But now I was awake. I suddenly remembered “It’s after midnight! My FB fast is over!” You never know what isย going to be waiting for you after 72 hours off FB. It wasn’t too much to deal with…
I soon went back to sleep and this morning sorted Granny and went off to church where our church was celebrating ‘back to church’ Sunday. There were lots of new faces. We sat with Adrian and Stacey. Their last Cape Town Church service for several months. The Lord goes with my children and He will sustain them. I will be praying for them and following their journey!
Church was an experience. There was a buzzard that later today was released into the wild.
Ron took off the cords and left it sitting on the pulpit. He then walked to the back of the church and it flew to him. It was quite remarkable.
What struck me was the complete trust the bird had in Ron, his handler.
Stacey and Adrian came for a slap up lunch and have now gone home. Yesterday afternoon when the sun came out, we took Granny walking…
We passed a nonchalant, curious cat…
This afternoon we are sleeping, watching Roger Federer duke it out with Andy Murray for the gold medal and later will watch ‘Upstairs Downstairs.’
So the weekend draws to a close. A new short week begins. It’s going to be a busy one…tomorrow we have Granny’s skin cancer sorted, Tuesday is her birthday & we say goodbye to Stacey & Adrian. On Wednesday we take Granny to Nerina Gardens go away for four days. ๐
Mark 6:30-31
The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to Him all they had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, He said to them, โCome with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.โ
And that’s what we will do!
Have a fab Sunday evening!
In His Grip,
