There has been a lot said in the media and in our communities about a possible link between autism and vaccines. Stacey found this online that debunks the theory…
The original article from Upworthy.com is here.
I hope that puts to rest some concerns.
God has allowed man to discover prevention to illness as well as cures for illness. So we need to take advantage of them. God uses modern medicine as a means to heal. This does not mean that He does not miraculously heal through people praying for the sick. Truth be told, we don’t understand God’s ways. We have to continue to trust Him, in knowing that He has complete control. One of the verses that stood out for me during my journey through the Old Testament was the big difference at the end of the life of Elijah and Elisha.
Elijah did not die…
2 Kings 2:1 “When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind…”
While, Elisha died from an illness…
2 Kings 13:14 “Now Elisha had been suffering from the illness from which he died.”
God heals, but He also allows illness to end our lives naturally, so that we can begin all He has in store for us in eternal life. How that all works, I’m not sure. I do know that God is faithful. I do know, He doesn’t want us to suffer. I also know that nothing happens without His presence, His permission and His purpose being worked out in our lives. God is sovereign and He has you in His Grip!
God bless you!
