Wednesday already! With it being a short week, the days are flying by at atomic speed! That’s what it seems like. When I wrote that: “atomic speed,” I wondered what it was…it just came into my head to use it, so I googled ‘what is atomic speed?’ The answer came back, ‘it depends on the temperature!’ Ha ha! What you find out on Google is amazing! Anyway, you get the drift. The days are zooming by!
This morning began earlier than usual…a grueling 3-30am! By 4-40am, I was on my way to the Team House in Noordhoek to pick up “the Australians” who were joining me on air. Serg, Lisa and Dennis joined me on air from 6-8am, which was great. So interesting to learn a bit more about Australia than what we hear about on TV….we had some fun, exchanging slang terms…didn’t quite have a slanging match, but I learnt what a ‘snag’ is and decided to have snags for dinner…
This afternoon I shopped (hence the sossies), I actually slept, so I feel so much better and I watched news of an earthquake…
Although there was panic earlier across the region, the latest is that the tsunami watch has been cancelled.
I haven’t been following too closely the US presidential race, but I have seen today that it appears millionaire Mormon Mitt Romney is going to be the Republican nomination to challenge Barack Obama’s bid for a second term of office. Those elections in November…
Mike & I are heading out of town for the weekend. We are so looking forward to this break. It consists of NO responsibility. Mike is taking Friday off, so once I’ve done the show, we’ll be on our way from 9am! Three days of R&R sounds really good to me! Stacey and Adrian are ‘Granny-sitting’. Thanks Stace! 🙂
One of the main thoughts coming out of my Bible reading today, are words from Jesus who in Luke 14;11 is recorded to say “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Jesus came to turn the world’s message on its head. Humility is the way forward.
