Let me just put you in the picture.. Melanie is my personal trainer. She is an inspiration. Twice a week, I join my friends Riana and Sue and we get beaten into shape by Mel. I think it would be true to say that I am the most ‘vocal’ of the three of us. When Mel is pushing us and my bones are creaking and my muscles are burning, I am generally the one that starts squawking loudest! So at the start of yesterday’s session, the topic of my ‘lack of complaining’ came up and they asked me if this now meant I was not going to groan when the going got tough. Well it wasn’t long before they discovered the answer. When it all got too hard, instead of wailing ‘Aaaaah, this hurts’… I cried, “Aaaah, this feels so good!!!” They roared with laughter and said, “you’re lying!!” Ha ha!! I can’t win!! If I say, ‘this is hard,’ they say I’m complaining and if I say, ‘this is so good,’ they say, ‘you’re lying!’ And they say they are my friends!! It was very funny, but I can tell you these girls and a whole bunch of others with them, keep me ship-shape – physically fit, spiritually alert and accountable and mentally sane! They are indeed very good friends! Meantime, thanks to Colleen for posting this to my Facebook wall. Good one…
I have managed to not complain for two full days. It is non negotiable. I will not complain & I will endeavour not even to complain in my head! It has made a difference to my attitude. It’s also been fun taking on the Hundred Happy Days challenge, where you post a photo of gratitude or what makes you happy every day for 100 days. It can go to Facebook or Twitter. I’m just putting them at the end of my blog each day. It’s an amazing exercise because it gets you more focussed on what makes you happy and reminds you to be grateful. It also makes you look out for all the positive things in life, hopefully directing your attention away from all the trials. Look up and look out for all the good that surrounds you. It will change you!

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
God bless you loads!
