Alternative Exercise

Friday

Today was the day….

We did not go to the beach. When there has been heavy rain, a lot of water pours off the mountain through the drainage system and into the sea. Best to wait a day or two for that to get washed away before swimming.  That’s what I think anyway. It may be a nice day tomorrow. We will see how we feel.  Today I did some alternative exercise. It is manual labour! We helped Courage move sand and rocks in preparation of the wall extension. Courage picked away at the bank.

The big rocks got taken out and put to one side for wall building. The sand got sifted and the smaller rocks were taken up to the top entrance to use as backfill.

Me pouring the smaller rocks out for back fill.

The sifted sand got carried in bucket loads and piled under the house.

I did two half hour stints. Good exercise.

At the end of the first half hour, the guests messaged to say they were on their way. I went to say goodbye. They left and I went into the cottage. As I was cleaning up, I realised the hot tap in the kitchen firstly had no pressure and secondly was not getting hot. This has been a long term issue which we thought had been fixed. It’s finally time for the hot water cylinder to be replaced so the plumber is coming on Monday.

I only worked for a couple of hours today. I’ve appreciated the break from sitting at my desk, although I did sit at the table and did some beading.

We are now watching a period drama.

Psalm 14:2

The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
