“All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy”. A pithy saying that apparently goes back to the 1600s. I felt today that I could easily substitute my name in – All work and no play, makes Helga a dull girl!
Today has been a mammoth day of work. I’m actually still at it, but I’ve lost connection with the server on which I work – which lives in Wales. Sometimes it goes down for a few seconds but then pops back up again, but it doesn’t seem to be doing that now. I’ve just got a little bit more to do before I call it a day. While I’m waiting for the server to reappear, I thought I’d start the blog. It’s just reconnected.
This evening’s assignment has been putting new vacancies on the website. I put them all up on the company system, hit publish and then zip over to the website to make sure they are all okay. Errors are easy to spot when looking at the website. Immediately, I saw I’d missed the 9 off 2019. I’m not the only one checking. I know MD scans the website!
That’s fixed now and everything else looks okay.
Time to turn off my work clock and turn in the for night. 9.5 hours of sitting at my desk in front of my computer.
Although I did give myself eye breaks. About once an hour or so I got up and did something else. My bedroom got cleaned & washing was put on the line.
