Wednesday
Sometimes you have a day where you get a lot of stuff done. Today was that day.
I did some work and then Mike and I took my car to the local service centre to get the brake pads sorted. We came home. I worked for an hour, finishing a job that entailed emailing 30 schools! As soon as that was done, I met friends for tea. Home again to find Mike on Skype with his client.
I got back to work too.
Meantime, the plumbing problem at Echo was being sorted this afternoon and add to that Werner (our builder) stopped by to talk about getting some ground works done. We may as well. The plans may linger in Council for as long as a year, so while we have time, we can get on with some ground work, retaining walls, access building etc. There is stuff that could take at least a month to do and if we do it now, it will save us later. We can pay for the ground work now and that will be done.
After Werner left, Mike and I walked to the service centre and picked up the car. We had good service and it was less than we thought it would be. We went to Bosch Service Centre behind Sun Valley Mall.
Home again, the plumber phoned to say he had identified another problem which he hadn’t noticed yesterday. The job was going to cost more. The house is 48 years old. I’m not sure how old the hot water cylinder is but it still has a phone number on the label that is only 6 digits long – it’s old. Never-the-less, we are told it is solid and will last a number of years. It’s the valves that are shot. Anyway, that’s got to be fixed and so it will be.
David has been busy. Here is his latest video. He did a duet with himself.
Psalm 19:17
The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
