I’ve had a fabulously full day, but it means this is a tired blog!
When we were on the ship in November 2013, we met some folk from Yorkshire, England and sat almost every single night at the dinner table with them. They are visiting Cape Town right now and so came over and I took them to Cape Point. After coffee at the restaurant, Eric and Lesley hung around the car park area, while Peter, Lynne and I set off to walk to the lighthouse. We skipped paying R55 for the funicular and walked the whole way. It was beautiful up there…Eric and Lynne at the London 9623km away…
After we walked back down again, we drove down to the beach beyond the distant outcrop in the photo below. It is the most south-western point of Africa.
Then it was home for lunch, which was late and leisurely. Mike arrived home and was happy to be able to catch up with them.
All in all it was a fabulous day filled with sun, surf, fabulous views, good friends and enough exercise to ensure I’ll sleep well tonight!
