I’ve said before Mondays are hard work. Last night I tried to get a head start and put in 3 hours work, but it did nothing to dampen the high pressure of today.
I had to finish all the documents required for the interviews next week. Nine hours later, job was done. Although, tomorrow I wake up to 20 emails and whatever else comes in overnight! 🙂
#293 of my 1000 thanks – I met my deadline! Happy dance!
Apart from work, it was a productive housework day as well. I did our weekly two loads of washing. We have restricted it to two load due to the chronic water shortage. One for whites/lights and one for darks/colours. The temperature was 28C and so the washing dried quickly. I also changed the linen, put the electric blanket on the bed and changed the duvet from summer light to winter down. That’s faith for you that some cold (and hopefully wet) weather will come to Cape Town soon.
I’ve been reading the gospel of John, where it is emphasized over and over again that in order to know God, you need to believe in His Son.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
So when someone sent me this, it struck a chord with me…
*Who is Jesus?*
*In chemistry,*
He turned water to wine. Â John 2:6-10/John 4:46
*In biology,*
He was born without the normal conception; Isaiah 7:14/Luke 1:26- 37
*In physics,*
He disapproved the law of gravity when He ascended into heaven; Mark 16:19
*In economics,*
He disapproved the law of diminishing return by feeding 5000 men with
two fishes & 5 loaves of bread; Matthew 14:19/ John 6:13
*In medicine,*
He cured the sick and the blind without administering a single dose of drugs; Matthew 15:30/Mark 1:34
*In history,*
He is the beginning and the end; John 1:1-5/Revelation 22:13/Revelation 21:6
*In government,*
He said that He shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace; Isaiah 9:6-7
*In religion,*
He said no one comes to the Father except through Him; John 14:4-6
*So, Who is He? He is Jesus!*
The Greatest Man in History
Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
He had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.
I feel honoured to serve such a Leader who loves us.
These are the days!
Keep the smile going!
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
