30 Seconds of Fun

So it wasn’t too long ago that Mike and I played 30 Seconds for the first time. We were pretty bad at it, I have to admit, but I found it to be brilliant brain gym. So I bought our own set and it sits in the lounge. Today at lunchtime, I opened the box and I called the yellow side and then Mike called the blue. It’s so fun. Trying to figure out how to describe random words without using them is so funny. It does take some practice and as with all things, you get better the more you try.

Today has been cooler outside, and quieter on the work front. I did an hour of work and then met Riana for a walk up Sapphire. While walking we saw a hadeda  with a piece of thread wrapped around its foot.

Of course, we couldn’t get near it. The moment we tried it flew a few feet or ran away from us. It was clearly uncomfortable, limping at times. “Come we could help you if you’d let us,” I said.

Riana said that’s just like us. God saying to us, “I can help you if you’d let me.” But we, like the hadeda keep running away.

If only we would stop and let Him help us.

It’s an overwhelming thought that God loves us so very much to take such notice of us…. each one of us. Of all the billions of people that roam the earth, He has an interest in each one. He knows each name, each problem. He never loses sight of us and we are always on His mind.

Psalm 139:17-18 (The Living Bible)

How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly! I can’t even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me. And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!

This is beyond our understanding, but it is so.

Don’t run from God, run to Him.

#294 of my 1000 thanks is for a quieter day!

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
